Nonsense poem #1

I
There once was an elephant,
That turned grey and blue,
He was known as the pachyderm that plays the blues,
This elephant had large ears that fanned everyone around,
And in summertime around these ears animals would abound,
He was a heavy chap was he,
And swaggered through the trees,
And mashed up all the bamboos,
The pandas wanted to eat.
His name was the Bluesy bard,
Coz he was blue and loved to rhyme a lot.

My first attempt at the nonsense genre (a pathetic attempt but posting it for posterity's sake ). Thanks to The Beatle for the inspiration, you write the best ones.

And thanks for the compliment... seriously...im not trying to be consciously modest, but mine aren't really good you know. Thanks anyway! I know you mean that :)
